A three week long workshop in corporation with Studio Social Design, DemocraCity and the people of the small village Kasted North of Aarhus, Denmark.

The intention was to learn about the ideas of social design in general and the implementation of the citizen and the user in the design process.

Through two co-creative workshops in Kasted, and weeks of lectures and project development, an proposal was created an delivered from our group of five students.

The proposal:

Kasted is somehow discontented from the surrounding cities and Aarhus. It is difficult to transport yourself back and forth on your bike.

Kasted has a lot of interesting and beautiful spots in their landscape.

A greater strategy for different bike paths was developed and along these paths, different locations was designed in a series of six coherent shelter types.

The individual shelters are specific to their context and use.

The shelters are proposed to be build from recycled wood and iron - easy accessible materials from the near context.
